In 2024, we welcomed over 11.55 million visitors—a 3% increase over the previous year—solidifying our role as the Pacific Northwest’s most visited cultural destination. From landmark events like Bite of Seattle and Winterfest to new spaces like Overlook Walk, we continue to build community through creativity, equity, and access.

2024 Highlights

  • $43.1 million in gross revenue and strong year-end financial performance
  • 300 Seattle Center-produced events welcoming over 1 million attendees
  • 1.37 million visitors at Winterfest and the Christmas Market
  • $2.86 million in free healthcare delivered through Seattle/King County Clinic
  • 7.5 million visits at Waterfront Park, with 67 events and activations
  • $8.5 million in capital investments in safety, access, and sustainability
  • 43.7% of visitors identifying as BIPOC, reflecting deeper community engagement
  • Continued partnerships with the upcoming groundbreaking on a new Memorial Stadium, Grand Opening of Waterfront Park, and new partnerships with Pacific Science Center

Later this year, we’ll share our new 10-Year Strategic Vision & Action Plan that builds on these successes to shape an inclusive and transformative future for this cultural heart for our region.

    Seattle Center 2024 Overall Year Highlights

    In 2023, Seattle Center took the helm as the lead city department for Waterfront Park operations. With a dedicated team focused on public safety and maintenance, we continued to build momentum in 2024, supporting the opening of the new Overlook Walk and expanding public spaces along the waterfront. Our key non-profit partner, Friends of Waterfront Park, plays a vital role in programming, activation, and public safety coordination. In 2024, total visits to Waterfront Park grew to 7.5 million, reflecting our continued efforts to create a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive destination for all.

    McCaw Hall has now been operating for a total of 259 months, welcoming a life-to-date total of 7,330,150 guests to 8,608 events since opening in June 2003.

    Most Visited Arts and Cultural Attraction

    Seattle Center remains the #1 arts and cultural destination in Washington State, #1 within the Seattle metropolitan area, and now ranks 22nd nationally.
